About Skjærgløtt
We are a small family who took over the quay from our grandparents and spent ten winters restoring the cabins.

The quay in Gløttvika
The quay was built around 1890, when hundreds of fishermen came to Lofoten every winter for the cod season. They lived in the rorbuer for a few months and rowed out every morning.
As the fishing declined, the cabins became stores and workshops. We have restored them one by one, keeping old timber where we could and adding new bathrooms and kitchens where they were needed.
How we run things
We live just across the road and are happy to help with hiking tips, boat rental and where the northern lights are best tonight. Otherwise we leave you in peace.
About this concept
Skjærgløtt Rorbuer and Gløttvika do not exist. This website is an example made by Utvikler Lindberg to show a rental website with an availability calendar and booking requests.
